Elinor Jeanne Clark

Elinor J. Clark, of Stratford, NJ, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Elinor was a graduate of Pierce Business School, a secretary in the Trust Department at Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, a teacher’s aide for Calvary Baptist Christian School in Voorhees, NJ in the late 1970’s, an accomplished organist / pianist / accompanist in every church she attended for more than 60 years, and an exceptional homemaker who truly had the God-given gift of hospitality. Known for her exemplary cooking and baking, often from “scratch,” there was always room around the table for an extra chair or two as she regularly opened her home, especially during the Holidays, to those who may not have had a place to dine during those specific occasions. However, beyond these accomplishments and character traits, her most important priority in life was her love for God and for her husband George, her soulmate for more than 67 years before God called him home to heaven in January 2019. Their endearing legacy of godliness produced three children [Barbara (married to Dennis Danylak), Deborah, and David], six grandchildren (Rebekah, Sarah, Michael, Suzanne, Christopher, and Rachel), and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Eugene J. Zale Funeral Home (712 N. White Horse Pike, Stratford, NJ 08084) where a time of remembrance service will be held in her honor immediately following at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in her name to either Community Bible Church in Barrington, NJ or to Samaritan Hospice in Mount Laurel, NJ.
