The Deptford Township Board of Fire Commissioners promoted lieutenants Alan Bender and Constantine Sypsomos to the rank of captain at an Aug. 7 meeting. Both men began their careers as township firefighters in 2007. Constantine also has a long history as a volunteer firefighter.
