Memory care in the ‘neighborhood’

Cambridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center and Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living in Moorestown have introduced Journeys Memory Care, a comprehensive care neighborhood model.

The model was developed by Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Cambridge. Designed by experts, Journeys neighborhoods feature a standardized approach to care delivery, practice and management. The Cambridge campus’ assisted-living community and skilled nursing center offer two distinct neighborhood areas.

Journeys at Cambridge operate seven days a week to supports residents’ physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs, enabling them to maintain the highest level of function and independence. Teams are trained to communicate through validation, understanding, compassion and support as they join residents through the journey of each day.

Cambridge’s neighborhoods boast a home-like feel with dementia-friendly décor and separate living, dining and recreation spaces. Therapeutic activities include art, music, sensory activities, reminiscence therapy and intergenerational programming in indoor and outdoor settings.
