Monroe Township: Primary election

Voters in Monroe Township went to the polls June 4 to choose candidates to run for an array of elected state and municipal offices in the Democratic and Republican party primaries.

Four ward seats are available for township council: Ward 1-4.

Ward 1

Two people ran for the Ward 1 seat in the Republican primary: Theresa M. Kuhn has received 251 votes and Michael Fulbrook has received 93 votes. There are three write-in votes.

Albert “Al” Rossi recieved 577 votes for the seat in the uncontested Democratic primary. There were three write-in votes.

Ward 2

Anthony L. Bundi ran for the Ward 2 seat in the uncontested Republican primary. He received 393 votes and two write-in notes.

Incumbent councilwoman Carolann Fox ran for the seat in the uncontested Democratic primary. She received 652 votes and 11 write-in votes.

Ward 3

Two people ran for the Ward 3 seat in the Republican primary: Janet l. Schaeffer has received 238 votes and Brooke Rivello has received 48 votes. There are two write-in votes.

Brian Cope received 577 votes for the seat in the uncontested Democratic primary. There are 8 write-in votes.

Ward 4

Two people ran for the Ward 4 seat in the Republican primary: John Valentine has received 426 votes and Philip Scarfo has received 82 votes.

Linda Wagner Desantis has recieved 643 votes and Joseph Manfredi has received 238 votes in the contested Democratic primary.

The results listed here reflect what has been posted online by the Gloucester County Clerk’s Office as of June 5. The results of the election will remain unofficial until they are certified.

The general election is Nov. 5 election.
