First South Jersey Children’s Book Festival comes to Haddonfield

The South Jersey Children’s Book Festival Board is proud to host the first-ever South Jersey Children’s Book Festival, themed Celebrating FREADOM, on Saturday, April 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Haddonfield Middle School, located at 5 Lincoln Avenue.  

The festival will welcome 15 extraordinary authors and illustrators, including featured speaker Cece Bell, author/illustrator of El Deafo, a Newbery award-winning book and now an Apple+ Animated TV series, Kat Yeh, Charity Alyse, I.W. Gregorio, Donna Gephart, Lori Houran, Megan Atwood, Leslie Kimmelman, Katie Locke, and author/illustrators Mark Tatulli, Jamar Nicholas, Liz Montague, Lisa Jahn-Clough, Amy Rebecca Tan, and Matt Phelan.  

This free event—created for the picture book to the young adult reader, as well as families and book lovers of any age—will offer author talks, book signings, illustrator demos, discussion panels about banned books, and fun craft activities. 

Celebrate the freedom to read and the joy of supporting diverse and inclusive stories!
