Haddonfield’s Board of Education recognized its educators of the year last month.
“We’re really proud of, and we’re happy to be here this evening to honor these outstanding educators and their loved ones,” said Assistant Superintendent Dr. Gino Priolo at the meeting on March 14.
The nominees were nominated by students, staff and community members.
Priolo explained that when you win as educator of the year in district, you also become eligible to apply for county teacher of the year. If you get county Teacher of the Year, you can apply for state Teacher of the Year.
This year, the Teacher of the Year committee received around 250 nominations. The winners were the following:
- Stacey Brown Downham, Tatem Elementary Special Education
- Jennifer Gregory, Central Elementary, Grade 4
- Aurienne Grisi, Tatem, Educational Assistant
- Kevin Kozak, Haddonfield Middle School, Science
- Katie McKeon, Elizabeth Haddon, Grade 1
- Heather Radovich, Haddonfield Middle School, Educational Assistant
- Michele Scott, Haddonfield Memorial High School, Social Worker
