Jayne Jacova Keld writes about health, business and education, among other subjects.

A South Jersey author will talk about the memoir she wrote as part of the book “Life-Changing Power of Self-Love: An Essential Guide” during a free Healing Power of Writing presentation at the Mullica Hill library on Wednesday, April 10.

Jayne Jacova Keld is a freelance writer whose work has been featured in Woman’s World and SJ magazines, along with the New York Times and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“She writes regularly about health, business, interesting people, education and so much more,” Adult Services Librarian Debbie Drachman said of the author.

Keld’s writing is contained in the 20th chapter of “Life-Changing Power of Self-Love: An Essential Guide,” by Tina Green, where she discusses how writing helped her deal with the 2021 loss of her son Ravi and how it ultimately led to a new approach to writing.

“A powerful part of my grieving process has not only been to write about Ravi but to share, keeping the blessing of Ravi’s memory alive and to help others cope with their grief,” Keld explained. “Writing about Ravi, about grief and my struggle finding purpose, have gotten me this far.

“Sharing my story is powerful. It’s a way to honor my beloved son while helping others process loss in their own lives.”

“Her journey through grief after the loss of her teenage son Ravi led to a transformative writing approach,” Drachman said of Keld. ” … This work has established her as a sought-after speaker and workshop presenter, focusing on the healing power of writing through life’s challenges.”

The intention of the library presentation is to help others who’ve experienced loss in their lives, Drachman noted. Keld will also sign and sell copies of Green’s book and answer questions about her experiences and her work.

The Healing Power of Writing presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Registration is required on the GCLS website.

“Through the stories shared,” says the Harrison Township website of Keld’s talk, “you’ll gain from our hard-earned wisdom and learn practices to help you access your own inner wisdom and guidance.”
