Those who are struggling with substance abuse and have been thinking about seeking help can do so at the Delran Township Police Department on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Month of Giving

The Valerie Fund is joining forces with 129 Jersey Mike’s Subs locations throughout New Jersey including in Delran for the 14th annual March “Month of Giving” campaign to support local charities. During the month of March, customers will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 when placing their order.

The Delran location will also support Ryan’s Quest in support of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The Month of Giving campaign will culminate with Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 27, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will give 100% of the day’s sales – not just profit – to The Valerie Fund, Rutgers University Dance Marathon, and Ryan’s Quest.

Delran Board of Education special meetings

The Delran Board of Education will hold the following special meetings:

April 02 – 4-9 p.m.

April 11 – 4-9 p.m.

April 22 – 6-9 p.m.

Meetings will be held at the Delran Board of Education Building, 52 Hartford Road, Delran. The purpose of the meetings is to interview superintendent candidates. The Board will open the meeting to the public at 4 p.m. and immediately go into executive session. At the end of the executive session, the board will return to public session for public comment. No action will be taken.

Delran Junior Marksman Club

Delran Junior Marksman Club is a community-focused organization dedicated to promoting safe and responsible firearm and archery education among youth. Its upcoming schedule for 2024 includes a variety of events designed to introduce juniors to shooting sports in a safe and supportive environment.

Junior Programs:

  • Air Rifle and .22 Light Rifle: Multiple dates from through May 18
  • Archery: Multiple dates from June 1-29
  • Shotgun: Multiple dates from Oct. 5-26

Saturday, April 20

The Delran Middle School/High School PTA is once again hosting its Gift Basket Extravaganza at Delran High School, 50 Hartford Road, on April 20. Online ticket sales begin on Sunday, March 10. For more information visit www.delranmiddlehighpta.org

Delran Green Team

Delran Green Team meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 in the Delran Municipal Building, 900 S. Chester Ave.

Delran Seniors Club

The Delran Seniors Club is a social club open to anyone 55+ from Delran and neighboring towns. Membership is $10 annually, with monthly meetings at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Road in Delran.

The meetings begin at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month except for December. The club attempts to have speakers at each meeting to bring information relevant to “our lives and needs.” A complete lunch is available for $7 at sign in.

Members enjoy two day trips a year, a fall trip and spring trip.

Delran Historical Society

The Delran Historical Society meets on the third Tuesday of the month in these five months, January, March, May, September and November at the Delran Township Municipal Building located at 900 Chester Ave. The meetings are held in Community Room 3 and start at 7 p.m. We frequently invite speakers to address the membership.
