Mantua is reminding residents that aerial fireworks are illegal not only in the township, but throughout New Jersey. Also prohibited by a state ordinance is the discharge of any firearm, bow and arrow, crossbow, slingshot, air gun or other device that impels a projectile by force. Violations can result in imprisonment, a fine or a sentence to community service.
