Virtua Health again earns top scores with online and patient services

Special to The Sun

Marlton-based Virtua Health has again been recognized for its digital presence with the 800 Award for 73 of its online listings.

The listings include select hospitals, medical practices and doctors. Reputation – the California-based firm that issues the awards – explained that winners represent “the gold standard for what it means to be consumer-centric.”

“The 800 award winners “consistently collect, understand, and apply any and all feedback so that they can make data-driven decisions to ensure that customers will have the best experience possible, the firm added.”

The award recognizes location-level businesses that are the best in their class.

“Any winner on our 2024 list has proven that they go above and beyond in delivering on brand promise by listening to and acting on feedback from consumers,” Reputation notes on its website.

“Selecting a health-care service is an act of trust,” explains Chrisie Scott, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Virtua Health. “Our goal is to create an outstanding experience for everybody, always, and the first step for many begins with an online search.

“We strive to curate listings that are easy to find, contain relevant information and feature consumer reviews,” Scott added. “This empowers informed decision-making.”

Dr. Jean Davidson, lead physician with Virtua endocrinology, is one of six Virtua physicians who got an 800 Award this year.

“I take my digital footprint seriously, particularly online reviews,” she emphasized. “The feedback that my current patients leave on Google and other sites helps introduce me to future, potential patients.

“It’s like the new word of mouth.”

The 800 Awards are based on a proprietary algorithm that evaluates online listings on a 1,000-point scale. A listing with a reputation score of 700 or more is considered high performing; listings that achieve 800 or higher represent the best, according to Reputation.

The firm assesses several industries beyond health care – including restaurants, real estate, banking, and hospitality – and winners are selected across the U.S. and in Europe. It uses three factors to determine a score: visibility, engagement, and sentiment. Those categories include measures such as number of people who view listings, number of reviews and consumer ratings and experiences expressed in reviews.

“Any winner on our 2024 list has proven that they put customer experience at the very core of their strategy and are driven by the voice of the customer to succeed,” the firm maintains.

Virtua achieved 73 listings with scores of 800 or more in the 2024 Reputation rankings. Virtua Willingboro Hospital also received the prestigious award, as did 13 Virtua physical therapy and rehabilitation centers and 17 laboratories.

Virtua’s Pride Primary Care in Marlton was one of seven primary-care practices to achieve a score over 800. Dedicated to the health needs of LGBTQ+ people, it opened in 2022 and has developed a loyal patient base by addressing the needs of that population.

“Since establishing Virtua Pride Primary Care, we have treated patients from across South Jersey and even Pennsylvania and Delaware,” said Dr. Shanin Gross, lead physician for the practice. “I am grateful to our patients for sharing their experiences online to help guide others who are seeking much-needed LGBTQ+ health services.”
