The Monroe Township School District is in the midst of an annual program to recognize its teachers.
The Teacher Recognition Program aims to increase the stature of teaching, attract talented people to teaching careers and encourage experienced instructors to remain in the profession.
A teacher recognition selection panel that consists of nine members – teachers, administrators, parents and community members – nominates one teacher from each school to receive recogniton. The panel also seeks public input in its selection.
To nominate a teacher, find the form on the district’s website, monroetwp.k12.nj.us. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 26.
