Thank you to everyone who joined us Nov. 11, as we gathered to celebrate Veterans Day and honor all those who have served this great country. Thank you to all of our Veterans, guest speakers, including Washington Township Police Department, Council members and Washington Township Veterans Advisory Board for sharing the importance of this holiday. We cannot thank our Veterans enough or truly ever repay them for their service and commitment to this country, we are eternally grateful to you. We will never forget what you have done to defend our freedom. We hope this ceremony will serve as a reminder of our commitment to you.

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

On Friday, Dec. 1, at Washington Township Lake Park, Amphitheater. Join Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty, friends and I for tree lighting, carolers, pictures, hot chocolate and cookies.  Washington Township High School chorus will sing Holiday songs. We are bringing back, vendors selling crafts at the “Winter Village” sponsored by Washington Township Chamber of Commerce. The tree will be lit at 7 p.m., bring your family and friends. Light Up the Township – House Decorating Contest

I invite all residents to join in celebrating our fifth annual “Light Up the Township” decorating contest. Different awards for different themes. Contact my Confidential Aide, Suzie Barone at sbarone@twp.washington.nj.us for more information.

Giving Thanks

Washington Township Residents:

As we head into the holiday season, I ask that those that can afford to donate please do so. Those that are in need, please reach out to my office at (856) 589-0575. We have many resources in our town, as well as our county and state. Please continue to support our local businesses, as they need us right now.

Finally, I want to share my heartfelt gratitude to our staff and administration, our council members, our police, fire, and EMS (emergency medical services) teams and most of all to our residents. Thank you for caring about your community and for making Washington Township a place that I am proud to call home.
