The Whitehall Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization surprised students recently with a Flyers Recess Assembly, a free school program aimed at getting elementary-school kids interested in hockey. The Flyers donated a curriculum and some equipment the students will use during gym class. Flyers’ mascot Gritty and team alumni Scott Hartnell, Riley Cote, Todd Fedoruk and Bob Kelly played a trivia game with the students.
