Election results for township education board

Voters in Moorestown Township went to the polls on Nov. 7 and elected members of the board of education.

The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website, all of which are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals as of Nov. 10 do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.

Incumbent board member Maurice “Mick” Weeks received 3,256 votes, Marisa M. Cohen got 2,538, David C. Hoffman received 2,004, incumbent Brooke Mailhiot got 2,640 and Jaclyn Barnes received 3,357.

There are 54 personal-choice votes.

Voters also responded to a municipal question to the ballot regarding a 1959 law on family amusements at the Moorestown Mall. As of Nov. 10, there are 3,707 yes votes and 1,802 no.
