Important library news: Library officials are beginning their strategic planning process and they would like input from Washington Township residents on library services. Visit www.hegganlibrary.org to compete the survey.

The library is seeking quotes for custodial services for the span of Jan. 1, 2024 through Dec. 31, 2024. Washington Township Senior Center presents Flea Market and Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 315 Greentree Road, Sewell.

The Food Truck and Music Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Washington Lake Park, 626 Hurffville Crosskeys Road. It will feature 20 gourmet food trucks, beer and sangria, partnered with incredible bands, vendors, and kids activities. Bring your appetite, friends, family, lawn chairs, pop-ups and blankets. The event hosts are asking all attendees to bring a non-perishable canned or boxed item to help support the food pantry.

Parrot Beach will perform a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show at 6:30 p.m., Washington Lake Park Amphitheater, 626 Hurffville Crosskeys Road.

The Washington Township Public Schools will continue its partnership with the Food Bank of South Jersey to stage a mobile food pantry behind the 9/10 wing of Washington Township High School off the Ganttown Road entrance from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. Next distribution date is Oct. 18.

The Washington Saves Lives Program is available for residents to use seven days a week between the hours 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. for a free ride from any bar or restaurant located within the township to their home. If you or if you know someone that may benefit from this program, please download the Uber application and use it during the designated hours.

The Washington Township Fire Department is accepting applications for volunteer firefighter. Become part of a progressive organization with the most up-to-date firefighting and rescue technology in the area. Whether you are responding to the Firehouse from home or staffing a station with fellow Firefighters, your help is needed.

The Washington Township Ambulance and Rescue Association is currently seeking applicants for the position of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Full and Part-Time positions available.
