The Forked Neck Road Bridge in Shamong will be closed for approximately three weeks next month while Burlington County makes repairs to the span.
Work on the nearly 45-year-old timber bridge is expected to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 10, and will require the road to close to traffic between Willow Grove Road and Route 206. Traffic will be detoured using Willow Grove Road and Route 206.

The repairs will be performed in-house by skilled workers from the Burlington County Department of Public Works’ Division of Roads and Bridges. The entire wood deck of the 43 foot long bridge will be replaced.
