Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15-16

The Medford Business Association (MBA) announces that the annual Medford Oktoberfest and Music Festival will be held on Friday Sept. 15 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday Sept. 16 from 1-9 p.m. at Medford Freedom Park, 86 Union St., Medford. Considered “Medford’s Biggest Party of the Year,” the event is organized and promoted by the Medford Business Association, with Shop Rite of Medford as its Presenting Sponsor. Parking and admission are free, and the event is open to all ages.

Sunday, Sept. 17

Medford Quaker Meeting is co-sponsoring a free bus to take supporters to the March to End Fossil Fuels in New York on Sept. 17. The bus will leave from our area at 10 a.m. and return at around 6 p.m. If you would like to join in the March, email “Faith Partners for the Planet” at p4sept17thmarch@gmail.com, with your name and the names of any other people in your party.

Third annual Live Like Casey Kick Ball Tournament will be held at the MYAA Softball Complex, 201 Harford Road. This year’s theme is Everyone Gets to Play. For more information to participate or sponsor the event visit www.livelikecasey.com.

Live Like Casey, Inc. is a non-profit foundation created in honor of the life of Casey Andrew Lohne of Medford, who was killed in a car accident in 2019.

Saturday, Sept. 30

Fine artists and craftsmen will be featured at the Medford Arts Center Fall Art and Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain or shine event will be held at the Medford Village (Gazebo) Park on Main Street at the Medford Arts Center, 8 N. Main Street in Medford.

A variety of artisans will be represented including fine art painters, wood turners, glass artists, potters, jewelry makers, photographers and much, much more! Food and artist demonstrations will also be on hand. Vendor spaces are still available. Go to MedfordArts.com for more information.

Ongoing:

Medford Township is offering businesses and residents an opportunity to sponsor new banners for Main Street. This project originated with the Woman’s Club of Medford in 2015. Now, after eight years of proudly being displayed, it’s time to replace them. Each banner will include the name of the sponsor and will be attached to the light poles along Main Street. The new banners will be displayed beginning in September. For information visit the township’s Facebook page or contact the Clerk’s Office at (609) 654-2608 ext. 330.

Providence House is looking for eager and compassionate volunteers to continue the Medford Township Police Department’s partnership to end Domestic Violence.
