Borough resident and rising Haddonfield Memorial High School junior Cameron Tarditi of Troop 65 earned his Boy Scout eagle rank this summer.
Tarditi began his Scouting career as a Tiger Cub with Pack 350 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He quickly developed a love of the outdoors and earned the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award for several years.
Tarditi joined Pack 65 after moving to Haddonfield in 2015 and earned the Arrow of Light and Super Achiever designations before crossing over to Troop 65 in 2018.
Tarditi continued his journey of leadership and growth as a Den Chief, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader for his troop. He currently serves as its Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. Tarditi is a graduate of the Scout’s National Youth Leader Training and is the lead instructor for Troop 65, sharing his experience and becoming a role model for fellow Scouts.
Tarditi is also the recipient of his troop’s Bruce Brotzman Merit Badge Learning Award and the Siddons Harper Leadership Award. He continues his love of the outdoors and has earned the Mile Swim and 50 Miler award, along with 38 Merit Badges.
Tarditi has served as the Garden State Council Contingent Troop 3313 Senior Patrol Leader, where he prepared, led, and managed 40 Scouts from all over the council who attended the 2023 National Jamboree at Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.
Tarditi’s extracurricular love is crew. He has rowed on four-man and eight-man boats and loves to be on the water. For his Eagle Service Project, he designed and led the building of oar holders for the crew trailer, as well as backpack holders to keep bags off the ground at regattas.
Tarditi is looking forward to challenging himself academically for college, where he would like to pursue engineering.
