Police offer advice to reach zero drownings goal

Our social media platforms have been such a wonderful tool to communicate with you. We love to have fun and make you laugh when it’s appropriate. This isn’t one of those posts.

As the temperatures rise, especially this upcoming week, we will be seeing bbq’s and backyard parties. We encourage these events and we hope you’re safely enjoying the company of family and friends.

In 2022, we experienced two drownings in the township. These incidents were simply devastating. They were devastating to the victims, to the families, to the first responders, and to the community.

Our goal for 2023 is zero drowning incidents.

Together, we can make that a reality. Please ensure you have effective fencing around pools. Also, please confirm there is no lapse in supervision of children near pools. Simple steps can help prevent disaster.
