The latest information about Burlington County Parks events, activities, trails and resources can now be accessed on a new smartphone app.
County commissioners recently announced the launch of the technology, which will provide residents and visitors with a convenient method to locate information about the parks system, including maps and amenities.
The app is free to download from the Apple and Google Play app stores or by visiting Burlington County Division of Parks and Recreation (NJ) App Store Links (myocv.com).
Among other information available via the app are details about regional county trails, art galleries, museums, fairgrounds and the agricultural center.
On the park system’s event calendar, residents and visitors can use the app to register for any activities, programs and classes offered, including cooking and gardening classes, nature courses, yoga and line dancing and tours of historic sites and buildings.
There is also a news and alerts section for guests to learn about the latest park developments, such as special events, openings, postponements and other news.
“Burlington County is full of history, natural beauty and wildlife and our Burlington County Parks System provides destinations where people of all ages can enjoy these resources,” said county Commissioner Allison Eckel, liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks.
“This technology is another great resource for people to use to keep informed and learn more about our parks, museums and galleries and all the wonderful things they can do and experience by visiting them.”
