Crime Log for May 2023

  • From May 22 to June 4 Officers conducted the Click it or Ticket Campaign. Officers conducted 16 Proactive Patrols, which yielded 137 Motor Vehicle Summonses, and 16 arrests including 1 DWI arrest and 3 Drug Arrests. 
  • Patrolman Sweeney investigated and located a missing juvenile female on May 1. 
  • Patrolman Schnarr is investigating the theft of numerous Catalytic Convertors that occurred overnight on May 2 on Accolon Court.  
  • On May 5, Patrolman Stewart apprehended a male on an active warrant while on patrol on Main Street. 
  • Also on May 5, Patrolman Robertson apprehended a Tristram Circle resident for Shoplifting from the Walgreens on Bridgeton Pike.  
  • A 31-year-old Wenonah resident was apprehended by Sergeant Crispin while he was on proactive patrol for stealing $485.00 worth of Merchandise from the Kohl’s on Bridgeton Pike on May 6. 
  • On May 7, Patrolman Stewart conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Wawa on Woodbury Glassboro Road and apprehended a 45-year-old male who was wanted out of Louisiana. The male was remanded back to Louisiana on his active warrant.  
  • Patrolman Cirone is investigating a burglary and theft to an unlocked vehicle that occurred overnight on May 7 in the Snowy Owl Development.  
  • While investigating a suspicious incident in the parking lot of Ceres Park on May 8, Patrolman Cirone identified a male who was wanted out of Pennsylvania. The male was apprehended and remanded back to Pennsylvania on his active warrant.  
  • On May 10, Patrolman Shaw and Detective Krieger located a skimming device on the ATM Machine at the Wawa at 485 Woodbury Glassboro Rd. The suspect has not been identified, anyone who has been a victim of credit card fraud after using the ATM at this Wawa is asked to contact the Mantua Township Detective Bureau. 
  • Detective Krieger is investigating a theft from a Motor Vehicle that occurred on May 12 at the Pitman Golf Course.  
  • Numerous locked vehicles were forcefully entered, and the belongings were removed while parked at Chestnut Branch Park on May 14 at approximately 1700 hours. The Mantua Township Detective Bureau is investigating.
  • Patrolman Wolfsgruber conducted a motor vehicle stop on May 15 on Bridgeton Pike, which yielded illegal narcotics and a 36-year-old Mantua resident was apprehended. 
  • Patrolman Kappre is investigating a stolen license plate from a vehicle in the Home Depot Parking lot on May 15. 
  • Sergeant Crispin and his team apprehended two Mount Royal females who Shoplifted from the Rite Aid and Walgreens on Bridgeton Pike on May 15.
  • Patrolman Kappre is investigating a theft of landscaping equipment from a Mt. Royal Road residence on May 15. 
  • Patrolman Cirone and Patrolman Wolfsgruber apprehended a 23-year-old male for Distributing Narcotics during an investigation in the Villages of Berkley on May 18.
  • On May 19, Sergeant Donovan, Patrolman Robertson, and Patrolman Stewart apprehended a band of thieves who had stolen $1,006.42 worth of merchandise from the Target on Woodbury Glassboro Road. The suspects were also in possession of numerous stolen government identifications, as well  as crystal methamphetamine.  
  • On May 19, Patrolman Sweeney conducted a motor vehicle stop and during the investigation he identified and apprehended a 33-year-old female from New Castle, DE and a 27-year-old female from Wilmington, DE, who stole over $5,000.00 worth of merchandise from both the Kohl’s and Walgreens on Bridgeton Pike.  
  • Patrolman Shaw is investigating the theft of two guitars from the front lawn of a residence in the 300 block of Jackson Road, which occurred on May 20. 
  • Sergeant Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop on May 22 on Bridgeton Pike, which yielded illegal narcotics and a 57-year-old female from Fort Meyers, Florida was apprehended.  
  • Patrolman Shaw is investigating damage to trees that occurred sometime on May 24 in a wooded area along the railroad tracks in Wenonah. 
  • Sergeant Crispin’s shift investigated numerous motor vehicle crashes that occurred on May 25. 
  • Sergeant Crispin and Detective Layton are investigating and have charged a male who fired a weapon in a residence in the Sewell Section of Mantua Township on May 26th
  • Lieutenant Hauss apprehended a 19-year-old male from Blackwood for DWI and distribution of CDS on May 26 during a motor vehicle stop on Woodbury Glassboro Road.  
  • Also on May 26, Patrolman Wolfsgruber conducted a motor vehicle stop and apprehended a 40-year-old male from Woolwich and a 30-year-old female from Lindenwold for possession of cocaine and heroin. 
  • Sergeant Donovan’s shift is investigating numerous criminal mischief complaints of vehicles being spray painted overnight on May 28 in the Wenonah.  

Sergeant Mroz is investigating a burglary and theft from a motor vehicle overnight on May 30 on Sacramento Drive.
