The Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF) and Dooney’s Pub will co-host the third annual golf outing on Monday, June 19 – the Juneteenth holiday – at Little Mill Country Club in Marlton.

The event will run from 1 to 7 p.m. at the private club, home to South Jersey’s only 27-hole course. Residents at the outing can golf for a full day and raise money for a good cause: providing seriously ill teens with gathering places in hospitals where they fight illness.

Few sponsorship opportunities remain, but foursome registration and tee signs are readily available. One golf registration nets a ticket to the barbecue dinner and open bar. Beverages and snacks will be available at all three nines.

ARVF Chair Giselle DiNatale – who founded the organization with her husband after their daughter Alicia’s death in 2002 –  said the golf event has grown in its three years, and she hopes to expand it to all state residents.

The outing will also feature cash prizes for first- and second-place foursomes and a putting contest. Those not interested in golf can enjoy a $50 barbecue dinner that will include an open bar. Cash prizes will total $1,000.

“It’s been super successful,” said DiNatale of the golf event. “This tournament is nice because the club (Little Mill) is exclusive, you have to be a member to play on the course. So it’s a really nice and easy way for people to get on the course as well as give back.”

All proceeds will go directly to the foundation, which has raised more than $2.5 million over the years.

“A lot of the money donated and raised goes back to our children,” DiNatale noted. “We’re able to focus on our hospitals in South Jersey like Cooper, Virtua in Voorhees, and Weisman Children’s Hospital in Marlton.”
