The Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) will perform “Matilda JR.” at Our Lady of Good Counsel School’s (OLGC) Gym / Theater on Friday, April 21, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 22, at 2:30 p.m.; and Saturday, April 22, at 7 p.m.
In “Matilda JR.”, MTC’s 27-member student cast, made up of students in grades 4-8 in OLGC’s Drama Club, will bring to life the musical version of Roald Dah’s classic story of the gifted child, Matilda Wormwood, who stands up to her bullying head mistress, Miss Trunchbull, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood, and saves the day for her fellow students.
This musical, which features such great songs as “Naughty”; “When I Grow Up”; and “Revolting Children” is appropriate for audience members of all ages.
