Join the Environmental Commission at the Margaret E. Heggan Library for a Magnificent Monarchs Program! This program is appropriate for children in grades K-5 and will provide knowledge on the Monarch Butterfly life cycle and how we can create a better habitat for them.

Washington Township Council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the municipal building, 523 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell.

Rotary Club of Washington Township is sponsoring a Comedy Night at The Estate at Monroe, 1351 N. Black Horse Pike, Williamstown. Washington Township Board of Education worksession meeting will be held at 7 p.m., 206 E. Holly Ave., Sewell.

Friday, April 28

The Washington Township Police Department is holding a Free Women’s Safety and Self-Defense class for women 17 years of age and older. This class will discuss risk avoidance, preparedness, threat assessment and the basic principles of self-defense. The course will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. April 28 at The Growth Dojo (across the street from Edge Fitness). Police officers and gym owner Marc Moore will be the class instructors.

Saturday, April 29

Washington Township Public Schools Department of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) will host its inaugural Convening/Career Fair “Creating, Centering and Sustaining Equity” at 8:30 a.m. on April 29 at Washington Township High School, 529 Hurffville-Crosskeys Road, Sewell.

The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members. Looking to attend, to submit proposals or to host a table at the career fair, reach out to Angela McGeehan at anmcgeehan@wtps.org.

Tuesday, May 2

Washington Township Battle of the Badges Blood Drive between the Washington Township Police and Washington Township Fire will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Washington Township Senior Center, 315 Greentree Road, Sewell.
