The Valerie Fund is joining forces with 127 Jersey Mike’s Subs locations across New Jersey for the 13th Annual March Month of Giving campaign to support local charities.
In addition, the New Brunswick Jersey Mike’s location will support the Rutgers University Dance Marathon, and the Hamilton and Delran locations will support Ryan’s Quest. During the month of March, customers can make a donation at participating Jersey Mike’s restaurants.
The Month of Giving campaign will culminate with Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving on Wednesday, March 29, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will give 100% of the day’s sales – not just profit – to the partner charities.
Friday to Sunday, March 31 to April 1
Delran Middle School to present Disney High School Musical Jr. at the Delran High School Performing Arts Center, 50 Hartford Road. Showtimes are 7 p.m. March 31 and April 1, 2 p.m. April 1 and April 2.
Saturday, April 1
The Public Works Yard, 12 Hartford Road, Delran, is open from 8 a.m. to noon.
Thursday, April 6
A color run will be held at Delran High School from 2:30-4 p.m.
Tuesday, April 11
Anyone 55 plus is invited to join the Delran local social seniors club. The meetings occur every second Tuesday of the month (exceptions this year are July and August) at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Road in Delran. Meetings start at 1 p.m. with a complete lunch ($7), occasional speakers relevant to needs and interests, and a chance to socialize with friends and even make new ones. Membership is $10 annually.
Saturday, April 22
The PTA of Delran’s middle and high schools hosts its annual gift basket extravaganza on April 22, the association’s largest fundraiser of the year.
Tickets for the event are $25 and can be purchased in advance. Online sales began on Feb. 26 and runs through April 20.
The PTA and senior class parent volunteers work together to organize the event, whose proceeds benefit Project Graduation, a drug- and alcohol-free party where graduates come together one last time to safely celebrate their accomplishments. Proceeds also fund programs sponsored by the PTA during the school year.
