Mantua’s new Director of Parks

The Township of Mantua would like to welcome new Director of Parks Scott Hellerman to our team.

With his expertise and knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, drainage systems, landscaping, and snow removal, Scott is “looking forward to a new challenge of improving our already beautiful parks.”

We wanted to share a brief synopsis of Mr. Hellerman’s notable work history:

Hellerman began working for Exley’s Landscaping at just 15 years old. In the years proceeding, he found himself as Maintenance Manager and Purchasing Manager and eventually worked his way into the Eagles Nest Country Club (which is now Tall Pines Preserve).

In 1995, Hellerman was hired by Gloucester County as Superintendent for the Pitman Golf Course; after 28 years, he retired in 2022.

Scott attained his Certificate in Turf Management from Rutgers University in 2000, and currently, Scott is a certified Pesticide Applicator and Certified Fertilizer Applicator.

We are thrilled to have Scott on the team, and we hope you all will join us in giving him an official welcome.
