Moorestown Improvement Association holds annual meeting

Event will feature the work of the Moorestown First Aid & Emergency Squad

The Moorestown Improvement Association (MIA) will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, March 16, at 7 pm. The program will be held at the Moorestown District 1 Firehouse and EMS Station, 261 West Main Street. It is free and open to the public, regardless of whether or not those attending are current MIA members.

Featured speakers will be representatives from the Moorestown First Aid & Emergency Squad, serving the community since its founding in 1941. Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the squad’s history, who they are and what they are able to do, all without relying on tax dollars from the township for their operations.

MIA has been using its annual public meeting to showcase and promote the work of various local non-profit organizations and institutions that contribute to the quality of life and rich diversity of Moorestown. In recent years, programs have focused on the work of the Perkins Center for the Arts, Majoda Stables, and the Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee, among others.
