‘I’M STILL STANDING’

County will celebrate women on their day

Maria Grande will host the ‘I’m Still Standing Event’ alongside a group of other speakers

March 8 is International Women’s Day and Camden County will celebrate at the Collingswood Ballroom.

The “I’M STILL STANDING” event will honor the strength and resiliency of women with dinner, inspirational speakers, live music and vendors. The event will be hosted by Maria Grande, a Personal Power speaker, corporate trainer and coach. Her work empowers women to know their worth, embrace their struggles and uplift those struggling. Grande’s personal struggles with self-worth led her to start her company in 2013 and she has dedicated her life to her cause.

Joining Grande will be CEO and TV host Cheldin Barlatt Rumer; author Jaycee Park, a social media Influencer, cosmetologist and educator; Jennie Claire, founder of  Rooted Yoga and Wellness in Haddon Heights; and Dawn Cefaratti, who will serve as the DJ.

“It’s really just a night to celebrate women,” said Grande.

Along with Rooted Yoga, the event’s proceeds will benefit single moms in need.

Tickets to the event are $50; donations will also be accepted for those unable to attend in person. Financial gifts and sponsorships will help pay for the additional costs of mounting the  event.

Grande began her career in corporate training and turned those skills into a personal business, one that allowed her to give back and help women in the area. She also has a podcast.

“I started realizing that so many women hold themselves back,” she recalled. “(Many) have self-worth issues and are kind of created by societal issues. I geared (my work) towards women because I felt like they listened to me more.

“Whether it is society or our own family, we are taught so many different and limiting beliefs,” Grande added. “In order for us to conquer that and to really feel that we can do everything we want to do, not just go through the motions … we have to stop believing the lies we are taught.”

The “I’M STILL STANDING” celebration starts at 6 p.m. with dinner and drinks. To learn more or buy tickets, visit Grande’s website at https://mariagrandellc.com/
