With the release of the footage of a Tennessee traffic stop resulting in the tragic death of Tyre Nichols, there are feelings of anger, frustration and sadness in our community.
We at the Deptford Township Police Department are greatly saddened by these events and strive for constant professionalism. I would like to ensure our residents and visitors that we have extensive training in the area of de-escalation techniques and minimal force utilization.
