The Camden County Department of Health is announced new COVID cases throughout December and January.
Between Wednesday, Dec. 14 to Tuesday, Dec. 20, there were 614 new COVID-cases and four COVID-related deaths. An additional 220 cases were detected through antigen testing, bringing the total number to 834.
The outcomes from these antigen tests, unlike the results from the polymerase chain reaction, (PCR) are probable positive cases. These daily numbers are added into our aggregated lab tested PCR metrics.
Of the 614 cases, there 88 were among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected was 45 years old.

The daily case average excluding antigen tests was 88.
The following week of Wednesday, Dec. 21 to Tuesday, Dec. 27, the Camden County Department of Health reported 529 new COVID cases, and five new COVID-related deaths. An additional 157 antigen cases were also reported, which leads the total to be 686 new COVID cases for the week.
Of the 529 new cases, 59 were among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected was 48 years old.
Of the 312 cases, 36 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 45 years old.

The daily case average for this week decreased from 88 to 79, excluding antigen cases.
During the week of Wednesday, Dec. 28 to Tuesday, Jan. 3, the Camden County Department of Health announced 805 new COVID-related deaths, and eight COVID-related deaths.
There were an additional 208 cases detected through antigen cases bringing the total to 1,013 new COVID cases for the week.
Of the 805 new cases, 90 were patients under the age of 18.
The average age of the newly infected was 46.

The daily case average was 115, an increase from the prior week’s average of 79.
In the week of Wednesday, Jan. 4 to Monday, Jan. 9, the Camden County Department of Health announced 699 new positive cases of COVID-19 and two new COVID-related deaths that occurred. Additionally, there were 318 cases detected through antigen testing, bringing the total number of cases 1,017. The aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 134,606 and 1,771 total fatalities.

The daily case average is around 100, a slight decrease from the previous week’s average of 115.
