Blanket sale will fund events for high school’s Class of ‘24

The township high school’s Class of 2024 has initiated a new fundraiser to pay for future class events, a blanket sale that got underway last week.

“At the beginning of the school year, the Class of 2024 officers and advisors brainstormed ideas for our first fundraiser of the year,” said Class of 2024 advisor Kimberly Kramer. “We decided to have a blanket sale and the officers were in charge of coming up with the color and design.”

The result is a gray blanket embroidered with the classic “C” for Cinnaminson and the nickname  Pirates below it. The design graces everything from shirts to hats to demonstrate school and class spirit.

The blanket fundraiser is the first of the year for the Class of 2024, but it won’t be the last: A  new idea is expected to come during the spring semester. The original sale has already proven successful, according to Kramer.

“We’ve had a great turn out so far,” she said. “The blankets have only been on sale for a little over a week, but we hope to sell more as the temperatures drop and the holiday season approaches …”

The fundraiser will benefit the Class of 2024’s upcoming events, including the junior and senior proms and end-of-year senior activities such as the annual senior trip.

“It is very important to get participation in fundraisers to help plan events throughout the four years,” Kramer noted.

To purchase a blanket, visit the school website and social-media accounts. The cost is $40  each. Other activities and updates will also be announced on the school’s social media.
