Capture the wonders of winter! A snow-covered landscape and frozen lake surrounded by majestic pine trees. Join award-winning artist Kim Clay as she introduces you to the art of miniature canvas painting at Markeim Arts Center on Dec. 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Clay will guide you through this fun class, using step-by-step instructions, acrylic paints and color mixing techniques. Each participant will leave with a finished 4” X 6” mini canvas painting and display easel – a great holiday gift for someone special or for yourself! Adults class. The following day, on Dec. 15, Markeim Arts Center will host its first ever Art of Hanukkah event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The cultural celebration will feature a presentation exploring the history of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, as well as menorahs, traditions, games and more. After the presentation, participants are welcome to create dreidels out of clay. Latkes and refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to all ages.
