Letter to the Editor: First Baptist Church of Moorestown

Food pantry volunteers thank community groups for donations

To the Editor,

On behalf of the First Baptist Church of Moorestown’s Food Pantry, we want to express our sincere gratitude to all those individuals and groups in town whose generous support has helped us to respond to food insecurity needs of our clients in the community during this holiday season.

In recent weeks, we have been truly overwhelmed by contributions received from food collections organized by local civic organizations, home & school, scouting troops, churches, elementary schools, and companies and businesses in town, as well as food donations received directly from grocery stores, farm markets and individual residents of Moorestown.

As a result, we’ve continued to offer food and other non-food necessities to well over 200-250 people on a weekly basis, while in addition being able to provide complete Thanksgiving dinners – turkeys, pies and all the “fixings” – to almost a hundred families in our community.

Thanks to everyone for your caring and kindness that helped to make Thanksgiving brighter for our pantry clients this year. We in turn wish joyous and blessed holidays to all of you.
