Deptford NJROTC Compete in orienteering competition

Yesterday, Deptford High School’s NJROTC Orienteering Team competed in the Ridley Creek State Park Orienteering competition in Media, PA. The team of Anna “Alex” Weber and Austin Hough came in first place with a time of 58:38. Other orienteers included Julian Britt, Jamison Britt, Leena “Kira” Rieger, Jacob Rieger, Nathaniel Foster, Brianna D’Annunzio, Andrew Arias and Tristin Pascal.

Sr. Chief Franco Colamarco recognized the dedication of the cadets’ parents, giving up their holiday weekend to take their cadet to the competition.

“There would be no team without the hard work and willingness of the cadets to take onboard what is being taught in NJROTC, their parents that support the program, and administration that offers us the ability to teach our elective,” said Colamarco.

Congratulations to our cadets. Well done.
