Samaritan’s Tree of Life ceremony set for Dec. 1

Annual event to remember and honor loved ones this holiday season

Samaritan invites the greater Southern New Jersey community to take part in its annual Tree of Life: Season of Light illumination program – a time to remember, recognize and honor loved ones who are no longer here with us in this physical world.

The program will be held virtually and is available for viewing starting Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. on Samaritan’s website at SamaritanNJ.org/Tree. After Dec. 1 the program will remain available through December 2023 for viewing and sharing at SamaritanNJ.org/Tree, Facebook.com/SamaritanNJ and YouTube.com/SamaritanNJ.

As part of the program, individuals are invited to dedicate a symbolic light in memory of someone who has passed or in honor of someone special in their life. A full list of these dedications will be featured on Samaritan’s website. Donations can be made online at SamaritanNJ.org/Tree but are not required to view the virtual event.

All proceeds raised from this year’s ceremony directly benefit Samaritan – a not-for-profit, South Jersey-based provider of hospice, palliative care, primary care, grief support, education and advocacy. Generous support from programs like Tree of Life enable Samaritan to continue providing compassionate, expert care, and supportive services to enable patients and their loved ones to live their best lives every day.
