Cherry Hill Township to hold info session for receiving ARPA funds

Program to take place this Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Township of Cherry Hill has been awarded a total of $11.36 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency and its economic impact.

Township Council has approved that a portion of this funding is made available as recovery grants to community organizations, non-profits, and small businesses that have faced economic hardship resulting from or worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following this grant opportunity and dependent on remaining funds available, the Township may open additional social service program reinvestment grants that will prioritize funding for programs that support the following:

  • Food Insecurity Programs
  • Drug Overdose Prevention Programs
  • Behavioral and Mental Health Programs
  • Violence Prevention Programs
  • Affordable Childcare Programs
  • Programs that support the most vulnerable including Seniors, ADA and Special Needs Programs

The Township will host a total of four informational sessions to answer questions pertaining to the RISE program and the application process.
