Join Markeim Arts Center for a cultural history and celebration of the art of Diwali on Oct. 23 from 4 to 4:30 p.m. After the presentations, participants are welcome to paint a handmade plate inspired by Rangoli, traditionally made with the gorgeous colored chalk dust on the ground for Diwali. The clay workshop will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and is free. Registration is required to ensure there are enough supplies for all attendees. Indian snacks will be served.
