Vote for the next animal in the Children’s Sculpture Zoo

People can vote at $1 per vote, for a life-size bronze sculpture of a either a Wild Baby Bengal Tiger, a Wild Baby Giant Tortoise, or a Wild Baby Orangutan at the Haddonfield Fall Festival on Oct. 8.

Haddonfield residents and visitors alike will have a chance to vote for the next animal to be installed in the world’s only Children’s Sculpture Zoo on Saturday, Oct. 8, during the town’s Fall Festival.

The Haddonfield Outdoor Sculpture Trust (HOST), the nonprofit which has raised funds to place more than two dozen figurative and contemporary sculptures throughout the town, is encouraging folks to vote early and often at $1 per vote, for a life-size bronze sculpture of a either a Wild Baby Bengal Tiger, a Wild Baby Giant Tortoise, or a Wild Baby Orangutan.

HOST will have two voting locations during the Fall Festival, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. One will be located in front of the Happy Hippo toy store on the corner of Kings Highway and Haddon Avenue, and the other a few blocks east in front of the Children’s Sculpture Zoo, on the corner of Kings Highway and Evergreen Lane.  Monies raised will help fund the sculptures which cost about $20,000 each.

HOST board members will also be on hand to give out small toys to visitors including stickers, zoo eyeglasses and baby jungle animals, and answer any questions. There is no age limit on voters, no limit on the number of votes anyone can buy, nor is any ID required!  The Children’s Sculpture Zoo also includes a life-size giraffe, sea lion, bunny rabbit, toad, and a baby elephant which was installed last year.  To see all of the sculptures, learn more, or take a walking tour, visit www.HaddonfieldSculpture.org.
