MIDDLE TOWNSHIP
The Panthers move over from the WJFL United, where they went 8-2 and were the division winners. There is enough experience returning to make another run at a division title. So. GLASSBORO
After going 5-4 last season, Glassboro has visions of improving and contending for  the division title. Sr. WR-DB Zaivon Burt-Graves (6-0, 170) is among four returning first-team all-conference performers. Burt-Graves rushed for 500 yards (8.9 avg.) and 8 Tds. He also caught 16 passes for 323 yards  and 2 Tds. The other returning first-team all-conference players are Sr. OL-LB Carter Kensil (6-0, 200), Sr. QB-S Jhaisir Harden (6-0, 170) and Jr. OL-DL Damere Lassiter (5-10, 280). BUENA
The Chiefs went 1-8 last year while competing in the WJFL Diamond, one of the toughest small-school divisions in South Jersey. The combination of having an experienced returning team and moving to a more manageable division, could help the Chiefs improve their win total. Sr. WR-CB Samir Garrison (5-9, 165) was a second-team all-conference choice on offense. Sr. QB-LB JJ Gonzalez (5-10, 190) is expected to again be the starter at QB. Other returning two-way players include Jr. OL-DL Ike Reynolds (6-1, 235), Jr. WR-CB Joey Marshall (6-1, 190), Jr. WR-CB Shane Reed (6-1, 170), Sr. WR-CB Robert Miller (6-2, 185), So. OL-DL Brian Passamante (5-10, 190), Jr. OL-LB Charlie Muzzarelli (5-7, 190), Jr. TE-LB Kaden Bryant (6-1, 200). Sr. TE-LB Mike Ernst (6-1, 195), Sr. RB-LB Naz Smith (5-10, 185) and Jr. RB-LB Javier Soto (5-10, 195). Players who saw action on at least one side of the ball are Sr. WR James Smith (5-9, 170), Jr. RB Louie Drogo (5-9, 160) and Jr. DL Daniel Moody (5-9, 185). So. S Isaiah Moore (5-9, 170), a transfer from St. Joseph Hammonton is among the key newcomers along with Sr. WR Yasier Jordan (6-1, 165) and So. TE Troy Gregory (6-1, 180).

CLAYTON
John Chamberlin takes over after Corey Harvey resigned after the season. Harvey did a fine job during his tenure, which ended with a 6-4 mark last season. The Clippers, who finished third in the United Division last year, have lost several key players to graduation, but with seven starters returning on offense and eight on D, they should be competitive, just not the favorite in the Patriot. Sr. WR-DB Kam Miller (6-1, 180) was a first-team all-conference choice on offense. He had 11 receptions for 213 yards and 2 Tds. Sr. RB-LB LJ Connell (5-9, 195) was a second-team choice on offense. He rushed for 232 yards (4.2 avg.) and 4 Tds, while also adding 36 tackles, 13 TFL and 7 sacks. Jr. OL-DL Antonio Maldonado (5-10 220) was a second-team choice on offense. Other returning two-way players are Jr. OL-DL Zyann Carr (5-11, 200) and Jr. TE-LB Ike Taylor (6-0, 190). Taylor had 12 receptions for 181 yards. Among players who saw action on at least one side of the ball is Sr. LB Taylor Siciliano (6-1, 215), a first-team choice on defense, who had 142 tackles, 17 TFL and 5 sacks. Sr. LB Omari Watson (5-9, 190) and Sr. OL Anthony Shimkus (5-10, 225) were second-team selections. Watson recorded 100 tackles, 11 TFL. Other returning veterans include Jr. WR Ian Gannon (5-0. 160), Jr. DB Nate Wiseburn (6-0, 160), Jr. DB Colby Carr, Sr. DB Elijah Rivera (5-9, 175) and So. RB-DB Demetrius Williams (6-1, 165). Among key newcomers are So. OL-DL Semaj Clark (5-10, 220), So. OL-DL Marcus Fowler (5-10, 235) and So. TE-DL Yaseer Saud-Dumas (6-2, 180). All three will compete for starting roles.

PLEASANTVILLE
Malachi Timberlake, a 2016 Cedar Creek graduate who was an assistant at Cedar Creek last season, takes over at Pleasantville, trying to turn around a team that went 0-10 last year. The skill position players are strong, but the Greyhounds are inexperienced in the trenches and how the OL and DL develop will be a key to the season. Sr. QB-DB Samir Miller (6-0, 175) is an explosive player. He had four Tds on kick returns last year and also picked off four passes. Sr. WR-DB Zander Roberts (6-0. 170) is another explosive player, a top performer in the 400 meters with the ability to go coast to coast on any play. The defensive leader is Jr. RB-LB Kwalil Shepperson (5-11, 200). Last year he had  two interceptions and blocked two punts that were returned for touchdowns, one by him. Timberlake said there are 45 players out for the team, a decent number, especially for a Group 2 school that is coming off a winless season. He has brought enthusiasm and a winning background from Cedar Creek and hopes it translates to the Greyhounds.
