For nearly a decade, the Mullica Hill Art Center on Main Street has provided residents of all ages the chance to experience art classes and events and hone their creative sides.

We are a family-operated business who is going on our 10th year,” said owner Chelsea Hallahan, a special needs teacher who conducts art center classes with other instructors and aides. “We offer all types of events.”

They include everything from wine and paints and beer and carves to weekend crafts and toddler classes.

“My classes, summer camps, and kids night out are my most popular events,” said Hallahan. “We offer a free trial class to new students for our children’s classes.”

Events and classes are free, but registration is required because of a limited amount of space for each event and class. Upcoming events include a Girls Scout class on Aug. 11, wood carve night on the 12th and kids night out on the 13th.

The center offers just about any type of art you can imagine, according to Hallahan, and events don’t stop with summer. Artists can submit their work for the chance to get their names out there and for all of Mullica Hill to see at both the center and on its website.

Artwork in different categories can be found on the featured artists page of the center’s website, where there is also a calendar of events.

To register, fill out the form on the Mullica Hill Art Center website or call the center at (856) 418-1135.
