This summer, the Museum of American History in Deptford will be offering student archaeology classes. Students will unravel the myth of what an archaeologist does in the field by taking part in an actual excavation right on the grounds of the Andaloro Farmhouse.
For students seven to 14 years old, classes are held throughout the month of July on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. One-day class is $20, two days is $30 and three days is $35 per student.
For further information or to schedule a class, call 856-812-1121 or email email@example.com.
The museum’s permanent exhibits include artifacts from the pre-Columbian through the colonial eras, American Farmstead, antique hand tools and equipment, the Pine Barrens, glass and a fossil exhibit.
The museum is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children. Visit the museum website at southjerseymuseum.org. The Museum of American History is located at 138 Andaloro Way in Deptford.
