Freemasons honor educators at banquet

Each awardee receives a plaque and a cash honorarium.

On Wednesday evening, June 1, at 6 p.m., Rising Sun Lodge No.15 and Lazarus Lodge No. 303, F&AM, will hold their annual joint Education Awards Banquet at Haddonfield Masonic Temple, 16 Kings Highway East, to honor the dedication and hard work of local educators and students.
Rising Sun Lodge will honor its chosen Educator-of-the-Year, Margaret Gammie, an educator in the Haddonfield Public School District. Lazarus Lodge will similarly honor Ashley Rodriguez, an educator with The Bancroft School, as its Educator-of-the-Year. Each awardee receives a plaque and a cash honorarium.
Rising Sun Scholarship Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable subsidiary of Rising Sun Lodge, will honor two graduating area High School Seniors, Ryan Igielski of Washington Township High School, and Kaylee Piliero of the Gloucester County Institute of Technology, with Scholarship Grants.
Rising Sun and Lazarus lodges are proud to do their part in supporting the grand tradition of the Most Ancient and Honorable Society of Free and Accepted Masons, the world’s oldest fraternal organization, which has long been a supporter of education in addition to its many other charitable beneficiaries.
