Markeim Arts Center celebrates Eid with ‘The Art of Culture: Eid ul-Fitr”

Learn about the rituals and art of Eid with guest speaker Nousheen Yousuf-Sadiq.

Join the Markeim Arts Center and Nousheen Yousuf-Sadiq on Friday, May 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for a cultural sharing on the rituals and art of Eid. People of all ages, cultures, and beliefs are encouraged to join us for this cultural sharing event.

From 6:30 to 7 p.m. visit the gallery for a talk by Nousheen Yousuf-Sadiq about how and why Muslims celebrate Ramadhan and Eid ul-Fitr, one of the two major holidays in Islam. The talk is free and pre-registration is not required.

From 7 to 8 p.m., the clay studio will have an optional workshop to create a luminary. The clay workshop is $30 for Members and $40 for Non-Members. Pre-registration is required.
