“We have been blessed to have continued our mission all throughout the pandemic and remained connected via Zoom,” said choir founder Gilah Lewis Sietz. “Now that we are back in person, we are thrilled to finally be able to share our love of music with the community.

According to Sietz, who founded the choir after the passing of her father Rabbi Albert L. Lewis in 2008, the musical group is dedicated to the legacy of her father’s love for music and for bringing people of all faiths together.

“There are no auditions to join, no fees to pay, only a desire to sing” Sietz said.

The group rehearses most Monday evenings at Temple Beth Sholom and performs for many organizations throughout the year.

Rabbi Lewis, known for his singing and love of music, served for 60 years as Temple Beth Sholom’s spiritual leader. Nearly 200 people are expected to attend the yearly event.

Tickets for the performance are $10 at the door. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.  There will be a 50/50 at the door as well as raffles for gift baskets.

Covid rules are set by Temple Beth Sholom. At this time, visitors ages 12 and older who are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19 will be required to be vaccinated in order to attend in-person services, programs and events at Temple Beth Sholom. Masks are optional. Any changes to the policy can be found on the temple’s website –  https://www.tbsonline.org/executivedirector.
