Burlington County holds Paper Shredding event for residents

Event is available for Burlington residents only

Burlington County will hold paper shredding events at the Burlington County Resource Center on April 10 and May 15.

Burlington County will hold a paper shredding event on Sunday, April 10 and May 15 at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Center located at 2200 Burlington-Columbus Road, Florence, NJ. 

The event runs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. rain or shine. The event may end prior to 1 p.m. if shredding trucks reach capacity. The event is for Burlington County residents only and identification is required. Tom Pullion, Deputy Director, Board of County Commissioners spoke on behalf of the event.

“The County Board of Commissioners is here to assist you with your spring cleaning by offering these shredding events to securely shred and recycle your old confidential files,” Pullion said “Please make your calendars to take advantage of this great Couty service.”

Residents must remain in their vehicles at the event. Paper must be placed in the trunk, cargo area or truck bed for staff who will remove it from the vehicle.

The event encourages residents to bring only confidential files. No magazines, junk mail,

businesses, non-profits or household trash.

There is a limit on four bags/boxes of unshredded paper weighing no more than 10 Ibs. each. Shredded paper is also accepted.
