Community House of Moorestown hosts wine tasting fundraiser

Event will be held on April 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

CHRISTINE HARKINSON/The Sun: The Community House of Moorestown will host its 17th annual wine tasting fundraiser on Saturday, April 30, at 6 p.m.

The theme for this year’s fundraiser is “Welcome Home.” It reflects our excitement to welcome the community back to the Community House for this popular event after a two-year COVID spurred hiatus. Due to the pandemic, this year’s fundraiser is even more important to the sustainability of the Community House and we thank all who are able to join us as guests, sponsors, and volunteers.

Tickets can be purchased at https://thecommunityhouse.ticketleap.com/17th-annual-wine-tasting-fundraiser/.

Join us for wine, beer and bubby tastings from around the world. All who join us for the evening will enjoy a fine selection of wine and beer tasting provided by Maro Brothers Liquors accompanied by an extensive food selection created by Wegmans Mount Laurel.  Silent Auction items will be available for bidding throughout the evening.

The Community House is an independent 501(c)(3) organization not part of the township or supported by tax dollars. Proceeds of this event will provide for the ongoing maintenance of our historic building and allow us to continue offering subsidized space to countless nonprofits and organizations that use the Community House to advance their charitable missions. We can also continue bonding people and families to each other and to Moorestown with meaningful community focused events such as the Tree Lighting Celebration, the Children’s Holiday Shop and our Summer Concert Series.

The Community House would like to thank our generous Community Partners and sponsors to date for this successful fundraiser, including Bayada Home Healthcare, Weichert Realtors, the Moorestown Sun and McCormick Taylor among many others. Their support confirms their commitment to the growth of nonprofits and philanthropy and allows the Community House to continue fulfilling our mission of strengthening our community.

Attending the event will be a wonderful opportunity to visit the historic Community House and tour our beautifully renovated space, The Library.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or would like to donate a Silent Auction item, please contact Caryn Lynch, executive director, at caryn@thecommunityhouse.com.
