Battles of the Badges

I am pleased to announce the friendly competition is on!  My Administration, along with the Police and Fire Departments, announced there will be a Battle of the Badges Blood Drive on Tuesday, May 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Washington Township Senior Center located at 315 Greentree Drive.

Blood donors must choose which department they would like to donate for: Team Fire or Team Police.  The winner will receive an award, as well as bragging rights for the year! I am proud to share that Washington Township was the first Municipality in Gloucester County to host a Battle of the Badges Blood Drive with the American Red Cross.

We ask if you’re eligible to donate blood, to please consider signing up to donate at www.redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: Washington Township BOB. No walk ins this year. To find out if you’re eligible, you may visit the Red Cross website, or call 1-866-236-3276.  One blood donation can save up to three lives.  I look forward to seeing residents stopping in to make a difference in people’s lives at Washington Township’s Battle of the Badges.  May the best department win!
