Historical Society to host annual Candlelight Dinner in April

The Historical Society of Haddonfield is holding its annual Candlelight Dinner on Wednesday, April 27, at 6 p.m at Tavistock Country Club. 

On Wednesday, April 27, at 6 p.m., the Historical Society of Haddonfield is holding its annual Candlelight Dinner at Tavistock Country Club. 

The event will feature guest speaker, Dr. Patrick McGovern is the Scientific Director of the Biomolecular Archaeology Project for Cuisine, Fermented Beverages, and Health at the University of Pennsylvania Museum in Philadelphia, where he is also an Adjunct Professor of Anthropology. In the popular imagination, he is known as the “Indiana Jones of Ancient Ales, Wines, and Extreme Beverages.”

He is the author of several books, including “Ancient Wine:The Search for the Origin of Viniculture.” There will be an opportunity to purchase signed copies of his books.
