The J. Mason Tomlin Learning Extensions and Academic Programs (LEAP) students are promoting a Chick-fil-A fundraiser supporting the Mantua Township Historical Commission. A portion of the sales will benefit the Mantua Township Historical Commission’s Important Projects Fund.
The Important Projects Fund, a 2016 service learning initiative, was created for special projects that are important to the commission such as providing signs for local historic cemeteries, the continuation of improvements to the museum and research library, and the acquisition of local artifacts. LEAP students and the Mantua Township Historical Commission are working together to “keep the past alive.”
Please inform the drive thru team member that you would like your purchase to benefit Mantua Township or LEAP. Either option will work to ensure we receive credit. We hope you will visit the Chick-fil-A drive thru at 621 Woodbury Glassboro Road in Sewell on Tuesday, March 15, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. to support this worthy cause.
If you are interested in learning more about Mantua’s character, please visit the LEAP website at www.kchinnock.wixsite.com/mantualeap to discover fascinating facts through slideshows and videos.
For your reference, the museum that the Mantua Township Historical Commission operates is located on the corner of Mantua Blvd. and Norris St. It is open the first and third Saturday each month from 10 a.m. to noon, or you may call 856-630-9704 for an appointment.
