Haddonfield resident named to Glen Foerd board of directors

Andrew Johnson, former planning board member for Haddonfield joins Glenn Foerd.

Special to The Sun/The Sun: Andrew Johnson of Haddonfield, N.J. is the newest member on Glen Foerd’s board of directors.

 Glen Foerd, Philadelphia’s public park and nonprofit cultural site along the Delaware River, is pleased to name Haddonfield resident Andrew W. Johnson as the newest member on its board of directors.

 Andrew Johnson was the Watershed Protection program director for the William Penn Foundation, a position he held from 2014 until his retirement in 2021. Joining the Foundation in 2001, Johnson also held the positions of Environment and Communities program officer and Watershed Protection senior program officer. From 1990 to 2001, he worked for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council as policy and publications director as well as senior vice president and COO.

 “We are delighted to have Andrew Johnson join our board of directors,” said Ross Mitchell, executive director of Glen Foerd. “He not only brings a wealth of leadership and expertise in the field of environmental policy, but a passion for conservation.”

Johnson earned a bachelor’s in English and American literature from Gettysburg College, and a master’s of public administration from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government. Over the years, he has served as the chair of the planning board in the borough of Haddonfield, from 2000 to 2012, and on the boards of the Borough of Haddonfield, where he was chair from 2000 to 2012; the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary; and the Environmental Fund for PA; more recently he served on various committees of the Historical Society of Haddonfield.
